Steering Committee

Organizations & Representatives

The Richmond Children First Steering Committee is made up of representatives from both public and non profit organizations that support Richmond children and families. The purpose of the steering committee is to:

  • Establish the goals and scope of Richmond Children First based on strategic directions and priority issues drawn from evidence-based research
  • Approve and monitor the annual work plan and deliverables of Richmond Children First
  • Provide advice, direction and expertise to the Implementation Manager and Action Teams
  • Make recommendations to funders, when requested, on community-based early/middle childhood projects and host agencies
  • Act as a resource on early/middle childhood development by providing information and assistance to interested parties
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Richmond Children First utilizing the provincial ECD Evaluation tool
